Volunteer Opportunities

Becoming a volunteer for the BMW CCA North Star Chapter is a great way to give back to your local car community and even boost your professional skills. Listed below are some of the current opportunities available. We look forward to hearing from you!

North Star Bavarian Editor

The North Star Bavarian newsletter is produced quarterly and sent to over 2,000 members via mail and email.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Newsletter editor is responsible for producing quarterly newsletter

● Decide on content for each issue

● Collect articles, content, and photo submissions from members

● Create content features for member highlights, summary of past club sponsored events, or spotlights of unique experiences

● Design layout of articles, photos, and sponsor advertising

● Ensures content aligned with vision of the club and direction of local board members

● Proof reads and edits copy

● Works with printer vendor to publish mail version

● Distributes email version

TIME COMMITMENT: The amount of time spent on an article varies by the length of the article and by the volunteer’s work preferences. Deadlines must be strictly observed.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: Strong writing and research skills, ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team. Experience with Adobe publishing software.

North Star Chapter Social Media Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES: Create cohesive social media strategy to grow user engagement for the club

● Analyze website user engagement

● Report on web traffic from all social media

● Maintain a cohesive strategy across all platforms to increase our brand awareness

● Research how emerging social networks and features can benefit our club

TIME COMMITMENT: The amount of time spent on Social Media varies by volunteer’s ability to engage with members however timely updates of upcoming events along with live events are crucial to drive club awareness

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: Strong marketing and social engagement experience with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of team.
